I’m wrapping up my time in California and though I’ve been in Southern California this week, I wanted to conclude this trilogy by saying what a wonderful week I spent with the San Francisco team!  Actually, it was one of the best I have had since I arrived in the U.S.  San Francisco fell in love with the Skalli Family Wines from the South of France.

EPISODE 3

I am very proud to say I work with the best people.  Nick, aka Master Greeky, all the Young’s Market people (Jen, Alex, Jason, Scott…) and the buyers - thanks to our work together we did some great placements at Town Hall, Beretta, Chaya, and more.  This week was the start of something great!  Let’s go on!!!!!  Of course, we did our best work because we had fun in our free time as the pictures below show… me with my frenchy mustard, Master Greeky with his ladies, our team and Alex.

With their first night mission complete, the San Francisco team’s effort to put more South of France wines into the glasses of all Bay Area wine lovers becomes more and more important. Alex, Jason, Brendan and Scott from the Young’s Market Team are very involved, as is Kenny from Matrix Fillmore.  With their fearless leader Master Greeky and Nico, known under the code name “Frenchy” on the scene, the situation will be under control soon…

EPISODE 2

Have you ever tried to start your day by a shot of Fernet (an aromatic spirit that is 45% alcohol by volume)? When I started my workwith at 10:30 am, Scott, Young’s Market Key Account Specialist, offered me a small bottle of Fernet I had to drink.  Where is this idea from??? Everybody knows…. Thanks Nick, aka Master Greeky.  That was a good start and actually Scott and I did well during the day, landing a couple of great placements for Skalli Family Wines! Opa!

At the end of the day we continued our attack on the San Francisco market at The Boardroom, where we organized a charity event. Some new faces joined the rebellion, especially from the Youngs Market Team, but also some buyers, Tony from Asia de Cuba  and Eric, bar manager at Chaya (go there they have the Maison Bouachon Cotes du Rhone by the glass ;))

Miss Jen, also a Young’s Market Key Account Specialist joined the fun too. Opaaaaaa.!   We collected  more than $ 1,000 for charity during our event, which will go to help a family who sadly lost their home to fire.  Not too bad!

We are now ready for the final battle and are part of the same wine family.  We worked hard but also had a lot of fun.  Thanks guys. ;)   Where will the week take us next?

Throughout the wine galaxy in a land not so far, far away, Buyers, General Managers, Key Account Specialists, Sales Representatives, Regional Managers and Brand Ambassadors are working hard to improve the situation and get more people to drink South of France wines.   Will Master Nick Floulis (aka Master Greeky) and his friends be able to restore wine freedom to the Galaxy Club in San Francisco and put the phantom glass of Robert Skalli wines in the hands of those who need it?

EPISODE 1

The rebellion began at the historic Matrix Fillmore with a wine event.  Wine lovers were offered a glass of Robert Skalli Pinot Noir, Robert Skalli Chardonnay or Maison Bouachon Cotes du Rhone “Les Rabassieres” for a special price. Master Greeky was there and encouraged more to join the rebellion–the Young’s Market team (SFWA distributor in CA) including Alex, Jason and others. Keny, General Manager of Matrix Fillmore was also part of it.

The mission at the Matrix Fillmore was successful.  More and more full wine glasses appeared as people enjoyed the Skalli wines and joined the rebellion. Our next stop was one of Master Greeky’s favorite spots and rebellion headquarters, the Occidental.  (Master Greeky has a thing for cigars.)

Just a sip or two and sure enough, more and more wine lovers, as May Seto (GM of Delfina), joined the rebellion throughout the night until finally the entourage made their way to the Galaxy Club in San Francisco where Robert Skalli wines landed on the wine list.

What does Master Greeky have up his sleeve next?
